Farm Nutrients was founded in 2003 to provide nutrient management for the newly formed Rembrandt Enterprises. We began supplying the poultry litter by-product from the Rembrandt egg production facility to local corn and soybean growers in the Rembrandt, Iowa area. In 2004, Farm Nutrients acquired specialized spreading equipment and hired trained operators to provide growers with exceptional litter application.

Agronomy Warehouse Lead

The AgronomyWarehouse Lead prepares orders, loads and unloads trucks and completes appropriate paperwork.  This individual collaborates with Agronomy Sales teams for order activity, determines re-order volumes, places orders with internal and external suppliers, works with Farm Nutrients accounting team to facilitate reports, and directs logistics of deliveries and day to day operations of agronomy facility with the help of the General Manager. The Warehouse Operations Lead should have a strong grasp of logistics and be able to meet tight deadlines. The Warehouse Operations Lead will be expected to provide customer service that meets or exceeds customer expectations and will be a key element of resolution of customer complaints by collaborating with the General Manager, Finance, and Agronomy Salespeople to allow logical conclusions.


Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Loads and unloads trucks

·         Assists General Manager in directing day to day operations of the Agronomy Center equipment

·         Efficiently utilizes available resources to complete daily tasks

·         Provides for a safe working environment for all employees and customers of the facility by adhering to OSHA standards of operation

·         Treating and loading of soybean seeds

·         Helps to provide and improve processes to improve documentation of deliveries and receipts

·         Assists internal and external customers

·         Operation of Kahler automated loading system for liquid fertilizer and chemicals

·         Responsible for maintenance of Agronomy Center equipment                                                                                                  

·         Takes scheduled inventory of all products

·         Re-orders products to replenish inventory levels                                                                                                              

·         Prepares and pick orders for delivery

·         Operates agronomy equipment to load and prepare orders

·         Completes appropriate paperwork by utilizing Agvance for all orders picked and coordinates paperwork with accounting team and customer

·         Works closely with General Manager, Senior Financial Analyst, Accounting Team Lead, office personnel and outside suppliers

·         Keeps warehouse area clean and disposes of trash

·         Provides assistance to General Manager in licensing and reporting requirements by working with REI EHS team and Procurement team                                                                                      

·         Assists in year-end chemical and seed settlements and reporting

·         Willingness to perform other tasks and duties where necessary



·         A trained designee will be appointed by management to cover for absences or vacancies; refer to Rembrandt Foods site-specific facility back-up matrix on file.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


·         Commercial Applicators Certification – Iowa

·         Seed Treatment Certification

·         Commercial Driver’s License or willing to obtain

·         One year Warehouse experience                                                       

·         Ability to operate Lift Trucks and Pallet Jacks                                                                                              

·         Awareness and knowledge of surroundings in relation to climate, atmosphere and equipment                                                                                              

·         Attention to detail                                                                                                                                  

·         Hand/Eye/Foot Coordination                                                                                                                        

·         Independent  Self Starter/Team Player                                                                                                         

·         Advanced English:  fluent in: speaking, reading and writing

·         Mathematical Skills:  Basic Arithmetic, count, add and subtract

·         Essential function of the job: requires teamwork and developing strong relationships with co-workers


·         Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet

·         CMS certification or willing to get



·         Lift Truck, Electric Pallet Jack or hand jack

·         Large push broom, Squeegee, floor mop

·         Office equipment: fax, copier, computers, printers, telephones, hand-held radios, calculators

·         Hand tools
